The Best Way To Use A Cell Phone As An Mp3 Player

You may be able to listen to music with your phone.

Cell phones are quickly turning into mobile multi-media devices. Many mobile phones possess the ability to play MP3 songs. This allows you to save money and not purchase the expensive MP3 players available. In order to play the music on your phone you must upload the music directly to your phone from your computer, in a similar way as you would with an MP3 player.

Instructions

1. Check your phone to make sure you can listen to music with it. The user manual of the phone states if you can play MP3 songs on it or not. If you can't, there isn't a way for you to listen to the music.

2. Open your Internet browser and load up the cell phone's manufacture site. Select "Support" and search for your model of phone. Download the available driver to your computer and install it (double-click the downloaded file to launch the installation wizard). You need the driver installed for the computer to know function with the phone.

3. Plug the USB cable into the power port on the cell phone. Connect the other end of the cable into any USB port on the computer.

4. Click the "Start" button, then either "Computer" or "My Computer." Select the removable device icon and open the "Music" folder. Click-and-drag the music from your computer into the "Music" folder. Once complete close out the removable device window, right-click the icon and select "Eject."

5. Insert the headphones into the headphone port of the phone, press the "Menu" button, and chose "Music." You can now select and play any music file you have saved on the phone.
