You can use the Motorola Droid smartphone's built-in Bluetooth technology to talk on the phone while keeping the Droid in your pocket. All you need is a Bluetooth-enabled headset, like one of the many manufactured by LG. As is the case with all Bluetooth devices, before you can start using the LG headset with your Droid, you will need to pair the two devices. This one-time procedure instructs the two devices to exchange a security passkey and establishes a connection.
Instructions
1. Plug your LG headset into its charger and plug the charger into a wall outlet. Wait at least 20 minutes to ensure that the headset has a sufficient charge to complete the pairing process.
2. Unplug your headset from the wall and turn it off by pressing the power button, usually found on the side of the headset. Press and hold the power button on the headset until the LED light turns solid blue or flashes red and blue, depending on your model. The headset is now ready to pair with your Droid.
3. Press the "Menu" key -- the second key from the left at the bottom of the device. Tap "Settings" from the list of choices that appears.
4. Tap "Wireless & Networks" from the "Settings" menu and then press "Bluetooth Settings."
5. Tap the word "Bluetooth" at the top of the menu list if a green check mark doesn't appear next to it. This will turn on Bluetooth technology. Tap "Scan for devices." A list of nearby Bluetooth devices will appear at the bottom of the screen.
6. Tap the name of your LG headset. Enter "0000" for the passkey and press "OK." After a few moments, the headset will be connected to the Droid.
