Disable Nokia N96 Parental Control Settings

Enabling and disabling the parental controls on a Nokia N96 can be done with the key lock code.


Parents often set restrictions on their gadgets to prevent their children from gaining unauthorized access to potentially harmful content, video, and websites. Parental control is not only limited to the computer, mobile phones have this feature as well. The Nokia N96 features a parental lock for videos. Disabling the lock is not complicated, but you will need to know the lock code for your particular phone to do so.


Instructions


1. Press the menu button.


2. Select "Video Centre."


3. Select the Options menu. Click on Settings


4. Scroll down to Parental Control. Click the on the menu below the words. This menu will show where your parental control is currently set. Select "None."


5. Enter the lock code when prompted. This is the password required in order to lift the age limit for the TV programs, it is the same code used to lock the phone.
