The 3390B is a model of discontinued cell phone previously manufactured by Nokia, a Finnish telecommunications company. The phone is very basic by today's standards, featuring a black-and-white LCD display, a 99-entry-capacity phone book and WAP web browser. You can secure data stored on your 3390B phone by enabling the phone's "SIM Lock" and "Security Code" features. When active, you will need to enter a numeric code before you can switch on the phone or insert a new SIM card.
Instructions
Unlock SIM Card
1. Switch on the 3390B. An "Enter PIN Code" message will appear.
2. Type your four- to eight-digit SIM PIN using the number keys. The default code is "1234." See Tips for more information.
3. Press "OK." The SIM card lock will be deactivated.
4. Press "Menu," then "461" and press "Select."
5. Reenter your SIM PIN and select "Off" to permanently deactivate the SIM lock.
Unlock Phone
6. Switch on the phone. "Security Code" will appear on the screen.
7. Enter your security code. The default is "12345." See Tips for more information.
8. Press "OK." The phone will unlock.
9. Press "Menu" then "565" and press "Select."
10. Adjust your "Security Code" settings if you want to change or deactivate future requests.
