Lock A Sprint Sanyo Cell Phone

Lock your phone when traveling in case of a loss or theft.

If you leave your Sprint Sanyo cell phone in your locker or desk, you probably want to secure it so no one else has the ability to use it. It's also useful to keep your Sanyo phone locked in case you lose it, since this prevents people from accessing personal information or using it to make calls. With the lock feature on, it is still possible to answer incoming calls, contact Sprint customer service or dial 911.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" button.

2. Select "Settings" and then "Security." You are prompted to enter your lock code. This might be a number you chose yourself, or Sprint may have given it to you. If you don't know it, try the last four numbers of your phone number or Social Security number. Another option is to dial "0000."

3. Highlight the "Lock Phone" option, then choose "Lock Now." It's also possible to select "On Power-up," which locks the phone when you next turn it on.

4. Choose either "Full Lock" to disable all calls, both incoming and outgoing, or "Excep. Incoming Calls," to let only incoming calls through.

5. Unlock the phone by pressing the left soft key. Enter your code when prompted.
