A Bluetooth headset is a safer way to use a cell phone while driving.
The Sony Ericsson K series features two Bluetooth-enabled phones. You can set up the K550i and K790a to work with a Bluetooth headset. The use of a Bluetooth headset helps you to communicate on your cell phone without holding the phone. Setting up the headset with the phone, or pairing, establishes a secure connection that can be used to exchange information. The steps may vary slightly for your Bluetooth headset.
Instructions
1. Press the "Menu" key on your Sony Ericsson K phone.
2. Click "Settings" and click the "Connectivity" tab. Click "Bluetooth" and select "My Devices."
3. Click "New Device" to search for the Bluetooth headset.
4. Hold down the "Answer" button on the headset until the LED light is blue or purple.
5. Click the headset's name in the list of devices found by your phone.
6. Enter the passkey for the headset. The passkey can be found on the headset's information guide. By default, the passkey is "1234" or "0000" for most headsets. A confirmation message will be displayed on the phone to indicate pairing was successful.
