It's common knowledge that VCRs are almost obsolete. However, if you have some old VHS cassette tapes that have yet to be transferred to DVD you'll need a VCR, such as a Sony SLV N70, to watch them on. These machines are hooked up to your TV in a similar way as a DVD player or digital recorder. The best part is that it can be connected quickly.
Instructions
1. Place your SLV N70 VCR near your television and plug its power cable into an available outlet.
2. Plug the connectors on one end of a standard RCA cable into the color-coded "Audio" and "Video" ports on the rear of the VCR.
3. Plug the connectors on the remaining end of the RCA cable into the color-coded ports on the front or rear of your television.
4. Turn on your television and VCR. Press the "Input" button on your TV control pad or your remote control until the VCR signal appears on screen.
5. Insert a VHS cassette tape into the front compartment on the VCR and press the "Play" button to play the cassette.
6. Use the front control panel to control the function while the tape is playing. For example you can press "Stop" to stop the cassette, "Eject" to eject the cassette and "Pause" to pause the cassette.
