Jawbone Pairing Instructions

You can pair your Jawbone headset with your cell phone.

The Jawbone, a popular Bluetooth headset that is used with modern cell phones, is normally easy to set up, but if you are having trouble or lost your setup guide, it can be handy to know pair your headset with your phone. The pairing process is not complicated and only requires your cell phone, the Jawbone headset and the accessories that came with each.

The Pairing Process

To start the pairing process, go into your cell phone and look under the Bluetooth menu. This is usually in the Connections menu. Look for an option that says something like "locate a new device" and choose it. Then take your Jawbone headset in your hand, which should be turned off, and press the noise cancellation button while you turn it on. Hold the button for at least two seconds until the white and red lights on the headset start flashing. The Jawbone is now in pairing mode. Look at your cellphone and you should see the headset appear in the Bluetooth Devices list. Select the headset and your phone will communicate with the headset, pairing them together so that the Jawbone will function with your cell phone. Your phone should not request that you enter a passcode, but if it does, you should enter "0000."

Troubleshooting

If you encounter difficulties pairing your cell phone and Jawbone, check the battery levels of both. You should have both your headset and your cell phone fully charged in order to pair them successfully. You should also verify that you have Bluetooth turned on in your cell phone settings.
