Use the Phoenix BIOS Editor

BIOS (basic input output system) is the fundamental operating system on your computer. It is responsible for running your hardware at a low level and for tasks such as setting your processor's speed. Phoenix is a company which creates BIOS files, and you can modifying the settings on the Phoenix BIOS by accessing your computer's built-in, text-based BIOS editor.

Instructions

1. Print or write down these directions before moving on to the next step.

2. Restart your computer and press the key indicated during the startup messages to enter into BIOS. This is typically the "Esc" key or one of the "F" keys.

3. Use the arrow keys to highlight the submenu which you want to modify (such as Performance, Advanced Settings or Boot) and press "Enter."
