Unlocking a Nokia E50 need not be frustrating.
As cell phones become increasingly central to social life and business affairs, it is essential that manufacturers provide features to protect your phone from unwanted use. Nokia's E50 smart phone features a password-protected locking feature that secures important functions such as power-up, standby mode and profile modification. If you manage to lock yourself out of your Nokia E50, unlocking the keypad is a simple process.
Instructions
1. Hold down the selection key located to the left of the E50's joystick and press the star (*) key to unlock the keypad. If the device remains in standby, you will need to use your lock code.
2. Press the left selection key, enter your lock code on the keypad, and press the joystick. The E50's default lock code is 12345.
3. Contact Nokia Care if you cannot remember your custom lock code. Have your E50's serial code and account information available to verify your identity.
