LG cellphones are available from most carriers in the United States. On many older LG mobile phones, only part of the back cover is removable to access the battery. The latest smartphones at the time of publication, such as the Optimus V VM670, require you to remove and replace the entire back cover when you need to install or change the battery. Once the new battery is installed, you will need to put the cover back on the phone.
Instructions
1. Press and hold the "Power" key to turn off the phone, if it is currently powered on.
2. Insert the battery in the back of your phone, making sure that the connectors are properly aligned. Press down gently on the battery so that it lies flat inside the phone. You cannot close the back cover unless the battery is seated correctly.
3. Position the back cover over the battery compartment and align it with the edges of the phone. Lower the cover into position and press gently into place until you feel a click.
4. Press and hold the "Power" key to turn on your LG phone.
