Use A Bluetooth Headset With A Samsung Phone

Connect a Bluetooth headset with your Samsung cell phone.

Samsung mobile phones can be paired with a Bluetooth headset if the phone is enabled with Bluetooth technology. With a paired Bluetooth headset, you can listen and speak without having to physically pick up your phone. A Bluetooth headset allows you to move away from your cell phone, typically up to around 100 feet away, and still answer, listen, talk and end calls using the headset earphone and built-in microphone.

Instructions

1. Charge your Bluetooth headset. Insert the AC adapter into the AC power connector on one of the headset. Then plug the AC adapter into the power outlet. If this is your first time charging the headset, it could take several hours to charge completely.

2. Turn on Samsung phone's Bluetooth feature. This steps required vary per Samsung model. On the Samsung Epic, for example, press the "Menu" icon, then tap the "Settings" icon. Click "Wireless & Networks" and tap "Bluetooth" to activate it. The Samsung Saga requires that you access the Bluetooth menu from the "Connections" tab, which is located in the "Settings" menu.

3. Press the "Answer/Call" button on your headset to place the headset in pairing mode. On some headsets, like Jabra Bluetooth headset, a blue light will flash four times indicating that the headset is ready to pair with your Samsung phone.

4. Pair the headset with the Samsung phone. Press the option in your Samsung Bluetooth menu to "Scan Devices." All devices within range will be listed. Select your headphones from the list.

5. Enter the passkey for your headset into the Samsung phone when prompted. Most Bluetooth headsets have a passkey of "0000." Then tap "OK." Your headset is now paired with your Samsung mobile phone.
