Convert Microsoft Works 4 0 To Works 9 0

Upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft Works.

Microsoft Works is a smaller, bare bones version of Microsoft Office. The set of programs does not offer the same expansive features as the large software titles provided with Office, but the bundle comes at a significantly lower price. If you are running Microsoft Works 4.0 and want to upgrade to 9.0, you must purchase the entire product (instead of the upgrade version). This is because too many versions have passed between 4.0 and 9.0, forcing you to need the full version.

Instructions

1. Obtain a copy of the Microsoft Works 9.0 installation CD, available at most computer and electronic stores and through the Microsoft website. Insert the CD into your computer's disc drive; an installation wizard will appear on the screen. If the program is downloaded, double-click the file to launch the installation wizard.

2. Click "Next" on the welcome page. When the user license agreement appears, select "Accept." It is not possible to install the program without accepting the license agreement.

3. Leave the installation name and location as is (click "Next" for each option to do this). Select to perform a "Complete Install" to install all the program files associated with the software, then click "Install" to install Microsoft Works 9.0.
