Tell If You Have Bluetooth

You have a lot of different options with Bluetooth devices.

Bluetooth is used to wirelessly connect electronic devices together. It can be used to listen to music, talk on the cell phone and even transfer data between a computer and a different device. More and more devices are coming Bluetooth-ready so you can quickly connect to it without the need for an adapter.

Instructions

Computers

1. Open the "Control Panel" in the "Start" menu.

2. Select "Hardware and Sound."

3. Scroll through "Hardware and Sound," looking for the Bluetooth "B" symbol. If you do not have the Bluetooth options here, then Bluetooth is not on your computer.

Cell Phones

4. Open "Options," "Settings" or "Tools" on your phone. You may also have a "Connectivity" option.

5. Scroll through the options looking for "Bluetooth" or "Connectivity." Bluetooth may be within "Connectivity."

6. Select "Bluetooth" if it is in the list and see if you have the option to "Add," "Search" or "Enable" Bluetooth to verify it is installed on your phone.
