Sync My Blackberry To Groupwise

Sync My BlackBerry to GroupWise

If your office uses Novell GroupWise, you can still sync your BlackBerry with the office calendar, contacts and email accounts. Syncing with a product like GroupWise can take longer than syncing to your home computer, so make sure you allot a large chunk of time--like a couple of hours--to sync up your phone the first time. If you run into problems, your office's IT expert should be able to help.

Instructions

1. Check with your office manager or IT coordinator regarding the way the office is networked. Your office may feature a specific BlackBerry server for which you will need permission and a password to access in order to sync your phone.

2. Download Blackberry Desktop Manager or another syncing program on your office computer if your office does not have a dedicated BlackBerry server.

3. Attach your BlackBerry to your computer using the cord that came with the device. The cord typically features a small specialty jack on one end and a standard USB end on the other.

4. Open the Desktop Manager or other device syncing software. Click on "Organize" or a similar button. Your options for programs and calendars to sync with should appear.

5. Choose "GroupWise." A list may appear requesting you to choose options you wish to sync, including calendars or contacts. Pick the ones you want. Click "Sync" to let your phone begin syncing with the system.
