Cell phone companies, such as Nokia, are constantly releasing software downloads that upgrade your phone to the latest operating system. Updating your phone's software allows you to use the latest applications and features without any problems. If you own a Nokia 3250 phone, you can update the software in a matter of minutes.
Instructions
1. Open your Web browser and navigate to a download site for Nokia software updates (see Resources) and click on your particular model cell phone.
2. Follow the prompts on screen to download the software update to your computer.
3. Turn on your Nokia phone and back up all important data on the unit to the phone's memory card.
4. Use the data cable that came with your phone to connect it to your computer. The USB end of the cable connects to an available USB port on your computer.
5. Launch the Nokia sync software from your computer's desktop. This is the software disc that came included with your Nokia phone. The new software will automatically start installing on the phone.
6. Wait until the status bar on screen informs you that the update is complete. You can now disconnect the phone from the computer.
