Synchronize Outlook Contacts Automatically

Your smart phone can provide you with access to email contacts.

A major advantage of smart phones is the ability to navigate your device as if it were a desktop computer. When traveling on business, you can access emails, contacts and task lists in Microsoft Outlook. Installing Outlook Business Contacts for Smart phone or Business Contacts for Pocket PC enables you to sync your Outlook contact with your mobile phone contacts. To synchronize your contacts so that they update automatically, you must first install Business Contacts for your device.

Instructions

1. Install "Windows Mobile Device Center" software on your smart phone. On the Start menu, click "All Programs," and then click "Accessories."

2. Click "Sync Center." Select your mobile device from the list provided. You will be prompted to "Update Automatically." Select "Yes," then "Continue."

3. Open Microsoft ActiveSync. Click "Options" on the "Tools" menu.

4. Select the "Business Contacts" check box, and then click "OK." Click the "Sync" button. Your contacts will sync to your smart phone. Each time a new contact is added via your desktop, it will appear on your smart phone.
