Use A Memory Card In A Nokia 5230 Nuron

Since today's cell phones allow a vast amount of media content to be stored and created, it's important to use a memory card for storage.

Since today's cell phones are equipped to do much more than just take calls, they require a certain amount of external storage to save files. Your Nokia 5230 Nuron is no different. This phone, used by T-Mobile customers, takes photos and video, browses the Internet, creates documents and allows downloadable games, apps and other content, among other features. For this reason, it's important to use a memory card so that your phone's hard drive doesn't get bogged down. The Nokia 5230 Nuron uses a Micro SD card, which you can purchase at any electronics retailer.

Instructions

1. Press and hold the power button located on the side of the phone. You will be asked on screen whether you want to power off your phone, select "Yes" to turn off your Nokia's power.

2. Flip the phone over so that the back is facing up and you have access to the memory slot, located on the left side. Pull down on the slot cover, which is a flap that plugs into the slot. This gives you access to the empty slot, in which you can insert the SD card.

3. Push the SD card into the empty slot, making sure that the contact area is facing up. You'll know that the card is correctly inserted and securely in place when you hear a clicking sound.

4. Press the memory card cover back into place, closing the slot shut.

5. Hold down the power button once again, this time to power the phone back on. Your phone is now equipped with external memory through the Micro SD card. From now on, when you want to download or save a file, you have the option to save it within the memory card's memory as opposed to the phone's hard drive.
