Sync An E90'S Contacts With Gmail

The E90 is a Symbian-based mobile phone released by Nokia in 2007. It features a full qwerty keyboard and relatively large screen, in addition to a wide range of useful applications such as an automatic contact list "Sync" program. This sync program can be used to upload your address book or contact list with your Google account, and can even allow you to merge two separate contact lists into a single list for both your phone and Gmail account. Syncing your contacts with Gmail should only take a few minutes to complete.

Instructions

1. Navigate to the Google Sync download page, and download Google Sync.

2. Run the completed Google Sync installer file, and install the Google Sync software to your computer.

3. Locate "Mail For Exchange" on your E90. This is a free program from Nokia that can be found in your App List. If you do not see the program located there, you can navigate to the Nokia Business homepage on your E90 to download it directly to your phone.

4. Open "Mail for Exchange" and select "Yes" when prompted to create a new profile.

5. Select "m.google.com" as the "Exchange Server." Select "Yes" for the "Secure Connection" option. Then select "Yes" for "Use Default Port."

6. Click on the right-arrow at the top of the program toolbar to progress to the "Credentials" settings page. Enter your full Google account address under "Username" and enter your account password under "password." Leave "Domain" blank.

7. Enter your desired settings for "Sync Schedule," "Calender," and "Tasks." These settings are only affected by user preference, so if you do not use Schedule, Calendar or Tasks simply leave them empty.

8. Click on the right-arrow at the top of the program bar to enter the "Contacts" settings page. Select "Enable" for "Synchronize Contacts."

9. Click on the right-arrow at the top of the program bar to enter the "Email" settings page. Enter your desired settings for these options. When you have finished adjusting your options, click on the "Back" button to save your preferences. The next time you use "Google Sync" on your phone, all of your contacts should be imported and saved automatically.
