The E65 cell phone is one of several mobile devices offered by Nokia. Like many of today's cell phones, the E65 offers a host of features catering to more advanced users. For example, the device includes a camera that takes videos and pictures, voice dialing, a web browser and applications, among other features. Before choosing the device, test its basic functions to make sure that it is the best device for you.
Instructions
1. Insert the SIM card and battery into the device. Slide the battery cover downward and lift the battery from the slot. Insert the SIM card into the slot, with the ridged side of the card positioned at the bottom-left corner of the slot. Replace the battery. Power on the device by pressing the "Power" button located at the top-right side of the device.
2. Make a test phone call using the device. Enter a phone number using the device's keypad and press "Send." Test whether your caller can hear your clearly and whether you can hear them clearly. Press "up" or "down" on the device's volume buttons to adjust the volume while on the call. Press "End" to complete the call.
3. Test the device's Internet connection. Select "Menu" and "Web" from the device's home page. Browse to a website by entering a web address. If your Internet connection is not enabled, dial "611" to reach your provider's customer service line. Have the agent enable the Internet connection on your line. Be sure to ask how much it costs to add the Internet to the line.
4. Practice taking pictures on the device. Press "Menu," "Media" and "Camera" from the device's home screen. Scroll "up" or "down" to zoom "in" and "out." Take the picture by pressing the "scroll" key. View these pictures by selecting "Menu," "Media," "Gallery" and "Images."
5. Test the device's music player. Select "Options" and "Music Player" from the device's home screen. Select an available track by pressing "Options" and "Play." You can play sample tracks when you first set up the device. Press the volume buttons to increase or decrease playback volume.
