Unlock A Nokia 5310 Memory Card

Unlocking your phone's memory card

The Nokia 5310 is what's commonly referred to as a music cell phone. It isn't very different from a normal cell phone except that it comes equipped with an integrated music player that stores and plays MP3 files. But to be able to store these music files, you need one other thing: a memory card. These small plastic cards store data on your Nokia, like MP3 files. These cards are password-protected and may require unlocking in the event of system updates or crashes.

Instructions

1. Locate the small memory card slot in the bottom-right corner of your Nokia 5310. Insert the memory card in this slot if it isn't already inserted, and then turn on your phone.

2. Use the keypad on your Nokia 5310 to enter the unlock code when you see the prompts on screen. You chose this code yourself the first time you used the memory card with your 5310.

3. Wait for the text-box to appear on screen informing you that the memory card is unlocked. At this point your memory card is free and available for use.
