It is common with phones similar to the Motorola W260g that the battery is locked into place by both a back cover and a battery holder inside the phone. Removal of the battery can be easily attained without special tools or codes.
Instructions
1. Place the Motorola W260g face down on a flat surface.
2. Press down firmly on the back cover and slide it toward the bottom of the phone to remove it.
3. Lift the battery up from the bottom of the phone. When that part of the battery that was located by the bottom of the phone is removed from the battery cavity, pull the entire battery from the cavity.
