Dial the two-digit code to call a mobile phone from within Australia.
When you want to call a mobile phone in a majority of countries, you will discover these phone numbers have special codes you must first dial in order to complete the call. You would need to dial these codes in place of area codes. Australia, for instance, uses only a few area codes throughout the continent, but a different code must be dialed in order to call mobile phone numbers in Australia.
Instructions
1. Dial the mobile phone number using the single digit number "4" in the place of the area code when calling from the U.S. or any country outside of Australia. For example, dial "011-61-4-25679153," where "011" represents the international access code for the U.S. and "61" symbolizes the Australian country code.
2. Dial the mobile phone number using the two-digit number "04" in place of the area code when calling from within Australia. For instance, dial "011-61-04-25679153." The area code "04" applies to mobile phones throughout Australia.
3. Complete the phone call by dialing the remaining 8-digit mobile phone number as if you were calling any landline number. In this example, the remaining numbers would be "25679153."
