Insert A Battery In A Nokia 6500

According to the Nokia 6500 manual, its rechargeable battery should survive through hundreds of charging and discharging cycles. Nevertheless, you may eventually need to replace the battery. If you have just acquired your Nokia 6500, you may be installing the battery for the first time. The procedure is simple and straightforward.

Instructions

1. Turn the phone off and disconnect the charger, if you are replacing a currently installed battery.

2. Lay the phone on a soft surface (face down), with the camera lens closest to you. Push your finger against the notch on the back cover; push the cover forward to release the battery cover.

3. Lift out the old battery, if you are replacing the Nokia's battery. Grasp it by the bottom edge to remove it.

4. Insert the new battery. Slide the battery into the compartment; line up the gold terminals with the terminals in the battery compartment.

5. Replace the battery compartment cover. Plug in the Nokia battery charger; let the battery charge for two hours prior to use.
