Use your PC to make international calls.
With the advent of VOIP (voice over Internet protocol) came free international calls from your computer. For the most part, these were restricted to making calls to other computers. Now, however, there are several applications that will allow you to make free international calls from your PC to phones, mobiles or other PCs.
Instructions
1. Choose a VOIP service. A couple of programs that allow you to make free international calls to other phones are MediaRingTalk.com and VOIPBuster.com (see resources below). MediaRingTalk allows you free PC to PC calls anywhere in the world and free PC to phone calls to 8 global destinations including USA, UK, Canada, China, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan & Hong Kong. VOIPBuster.com will allow you free PC to phone calls in 36 different countries. These free calls are limited, however, to landlines and are allotted to customers who have purchased credits.
2. Sign up for an account. You will need to create a user name and to provide a password, a valid e-mail, and the country that you live in.
3. Open up your e-mail to confirm your account and follow the link to download the software. Double-click on the file and follow the instructions to install the program.
4. Plug in your headset into the head phone and speaker jacks.
5. Go to the "Start Menu" and open up the program. Once the application has opened up, it will look like a phone. Dial the number that you wish to call on the key pad and click "Call," and speak normally.
