If you own a cellular phone with an exposed screen, such as a Nokia N97, it's possible for that screen to be scuffed or scratched over time. If the screen is damaged beyond repair, and you don't have the money to replace the entire phone, you can open up the unit and replace the screen yourself.
Instructions
1. Turn off your N97 and turn the unit over. Pull the battery cover off of the back of the unit and remove the battery.
2. Remove all screws from the sides and corners of the rear of the unit.
3. Pry the back case off of the unit and set it aside.
4. Slide the screen up to its open position and remove the two screws from the corners of the rear of the screen.
5. Pry the front plastic frame off of the screen and set it aside.
6. Remove all screws from the corners of the screen.
7. Lift the screen up and disconnect the thick orange screen cable from its port on the back of the unit.
8. Fit a new screen in the old one's place and reverse the steps for reassembly.
