The Nokia 5800 Music phone has the ability to connect your computer to the Internet using Nokia Ovi Suite. This connection allows your computer to connect online using Internet sharing. Using your phone as modem may result in increased data usage so it is important that you verify your mobile phone account data limit prior to using your phone as an Internet modem.
Instructions
1. Navigate to the Nokia website and click "Support," and then "Download Software." Click the type of computer you're using to download the driver software. The computer options include PC and Mac. Click "Cable Drivers" in the tab for your computer to continue. Click "Get the driver" for your computer based on the USB cable for your phone. Click "Download now" to install the drivers for your phone. Be sure to follow all the steps of the setup wizard to ensure proper installation.
2. Connect your USB cable to your device and to an open USB slot on your computer.
3. Click "PC Suite mode" when prompted on your phone.
4. Click "Connect to the Internet" on your phone to establish a phone as modem connection.
