Tether An Ipad To An Evo

Sharing your EVO's connection with the iPad is simple.

The HTC EVO phone comes with a variety of features, but one that many users find useful is the ability to share their EVO's connection with other devices through the Sprint Hotspot tethering option. Other devices are then able to browse the internet through the EVO's 3G or 4G connection. By configuring the EVO's Sprint Hotspot option, you'll be able to tether your iPad to the EVO.

Instructions

1. Press the "Home" button on your EVO. Tap the "Up Arrow" icon on the bottom of the screen. Tap the "Sprint Hotspot" icon to launch the hotspot application.

2. Tap "OK" to begin setting up your Sprint Hotspot.

3. Type in a name for your hotspot. Tap the "Security" icon and select the type of security for the network. You can choose Open, WEP, WPA or WPA2. WEP, WPA and WPA2 require a password in order for a device to connect, while an Open security type requires no password.

4. Check the box next to "Sprint Mobile Hotspot" and then tap "OK" to enable your EVO for tethering.

5. Tap the "Settings" icon on your iPad. Tap the "Wi-Fi" icon.

6. Tap the name of your Evo hotspot under "Choose a Network..." Type in the password for your network if asked to by the iPad. Tap "Join" to tether your iPad to the EVO.
