The Verizon Wireless Samsung SCH-U820 Reality cellphone features a diamond-patterned, glossy black or optional red back cover that protects the 1080 mAh lithium-ion battery and back of the phone. Removing this cover opens the back of your phone so that you can insert or remove the battery or repair the phone as needed. Samsung has designed the cover to snap onto the phone. As a result, the cover doesn't have any special lock latches or buttons. You simply pry the cover from the back.
Instructions
1. Position your Samsung Reality phone in your non-dominant hand with the bottom end pointing away from you and the front facing down slightly. If you need to remove the battery, turn off your phone and unplug any charging accessories first before positioning the phone in your hand.
2. Place a fingertip from your dominant hand in the center slot on the bottom of the phone and your thumb on the battery cover.
3. Open the back of the phone by applying pressure against the cover with your fingertip. When the cover begins to separate from the phone, pry and lift it up until you can pull it away.
