The Samsung Intercept is an Android smartphone available from Sprint and Virgin Mobile. To clear all of the data off of your Intercept and reset all of the phone's settings, you can use the factory data reset command in the Intercept's privacy settings menu. If a software error is preventing you from resetting your phone from the privacy settings menu, you can reset the phone from a service menu instead.
Instructions
Settings Menu
1. Press the "Home" button to view your Intercept's home screen, then press the "Menu" button and tap the "Settings" icon.
2. Tap "Privacy," then tap "Factory data reset."
3. Tap the "Reset phone" button, then tap "Erase everything" to reset your Intercept to its factory state.
Service Menu
4. Hold the "Power" button, tap "Power off" and tap "OK" to turn your Intercept off. If your Intercept is frozen and will not respond to button presses, take the battery out of your Intercept to turn it off, then put the battery back into the phone.
5. Hold the "Volume Down" button and press the "Power" button to turn your Intercept back on. Instead of booting normally, your Intercept will boot to a service menu.
6. Use the "Volume Down" button to highlight "Clear Storage," then press the "Power" button.
7. Press the "Volume Up" button to confirm that you want to reset your Samsung Intercept and clear all of the data stored on the phone.
