Unlock A Nokia M600

The M600 is a mobile phone released by Sony Ericsson that uses the UIQ 3 software platform, which is based on Nokia's Symbian operating system. If you want to use your M600 with another wireless carrier, you must first unlock the device from its current network. You can unlock the device with an unlock code, which you can obtain from your wireless carrier.


Instructions


1. Turn on your M600 phone and dial "*#06#." Wait for the International Mobile Equipment Identifier (IMEI) number to appear on the screen. Write this number down.


2. Contact your wireless carrier and ask the representative to provide you with the unlock code for your device.


3. Provide the representative with the IMEI number for your phone. Write down the code when told do so.


4. Turn the phone off. Remove the battery from the back of the device. Remove the SIM card and reinsert the battery back into the device.


5. Turn the phone on. Press the left arrow once, and then press the "*" key twice.


6. Press the left arrow key once and wait for the message "Personalize with MNC2" to appear on the screen.


7. Enter the unlock code in the manner that it was given to you by the representative. Wait for the device to reboot; this is an indication that the phone is unlocked.
