Make Ringtones On Nokia Composer

Make Ringtones on Nokia Composer

Nokia cell phones offer a software application known as Nokia Composer. This application allows users to create their own ringtones by entering different notes. Not only is it fun to create custom ringtones, but you can also set them on your Nokia handsets. The best part is that these ringtones will be your own unique compositions, which means you will never hear them ringing on another cell phone.

Instructions

1. Go to "Menu" on your Nokia cell phone.

2. Go to "Applications" and select "Tones Composer."

3. Select the option "Creating a New Ring tone."

4. Enter the notes you want to add for the ring tone. You can add notes c, d, e, f, g, a, b, and p by pressing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 0 key respectively. The p note (0 key) is for pause during the ring tone.

5. Use the keys 8 and 9 to shorten and lengthen the duration of each note. The default duration of each note is 1/4 and the duration of each note is shown in front of it. For instance, 12d means a note d with duration 1/12.

6. Press *+ keys for setting the octave for notes. The octave will be shown as a number right after the note (for instance, e2).

7. Change the pitch of the tone by pressing the # key. A sharp tone will then be indicated with a # in front of it, (for instance, #e).

8. Move the notes to either of the directions by using right and left keys. Use the button C to delete a note.

9. Complete the tone and select "Options." Now choose from one of the functions: "Play", "Save", "Tempo"(to select a tempo for the tone), "Send" (send to another phone), or "Clear Screen." Press "OK" after selecting the function.
