Call A Mobile

To avoid unnecessary charges, confirm the mobile number first before calling.

The process of calling a mobile number primarily depends on whether you are calling a local or international number. Ideally, the format used in calling a mobile number includes the country code, area code or network code (depending on the country), then the mobile number (a seven-digit number in most countries). Although the country code is best included even when making domestic phone calls, it is usually dropped when calling a number from the same country.

Instructions

1. Confirm the mobile phone number and follow the format required in making either a domestic or an international call. Usually, for a domestic number, you may just include the area code or network code and the mobile phone number of the person you intend to call. For an international number, you need to include the country code of your call recipient. You may save the mobile phone number in your handset's phonebook ahead of time.

2. Key in the confirmed mobile phone number or the name of the call recipient (if the number is already saved in the handset's phonebook). Saving the phone number first is beneficial for you to avoid dialing a wrong number, especially when calling the said number often. This is also helpful when calling abroad to avoid unnecessary call expenses.

3. Press the "Call" button from your mobile phone handset or your landline phone and wait for the call to be connected to your intended mobile number. You may simply redial the number from your "Call log" folder if you need to call back or redial.
