Jabra Bluetooth Headset Instructions

Jabra makes several popular Bluetooth headsets and the the basic instructions for use are similar for all of them. You must fully charge the headset's internal battery before first use, which will take about two hours. You must also have a compatible Bluetooth-enabled phone to pair with your headset, which will allow both devices to communicate any time they are within range of each other.

Instructions

1. Disconnect your headset from the charger when the indicator light turns off. This indicates that charging is complete. Keep the headset powered off.

2. Power on your phone's Bluetooth feature by opening the main menu and choosing "Settings" or "Tools." Select the Bluetooth option and choose "On." Place your phone and Jabra headset close to each other, no more than two to three feet apart.

3. Press and hold your headset's "On/Off" or "Call Control" button, depending on the model. It is located on the front of the headset. Release the button when the indicator light begins flashing, usually within five seconds. The headset is now working in pairing mode. Some Jabra headsets indicate pairing mode with a solidly lit indicator light, while others display a flashing light.

4. Open your phone's Bluetooth options again and choose "Add New Device" or "Search." Your phone will now locate your headset. This may take a few seconds.

5. Highlight the name of your headset -- Jabra, followed by a model number -- from the list of discovered devices. Press "OK" or "Pair." Enter the passkey when prompted. This is "0000" for most Jabra headsets. Press "OK." A confirmation will appear on your phone's screen to confirm the two devices were successfully paired to work together.

6. Position the headset on your ear, making sure the microphone is directed toward your mouth. Most Jabra headsets come with an ear hook that can swivel to accommodate wearing on either ear.

7. Tap the "Call Control" button on the front of the headset once to answer an incoming call. Most headsets have volume buttons indicated by "+" and "-" symbols. Press these buttons during a call to increase or decrease the volume.

8. Tap the "Call Control" button once to disconnect from a call. To disconnect your headset from your phone, press and hold the "On/Off" button for two to three seconds. Your headset will power off and calls will automatically route to your phone.
