Unlock your Nokia 3595
The Nokia 3595 was one of the first color phones that had polyphonic ringtones. As such it was a popular model that sold millions of handsets. If you have one lying around that you're not using because it's locked to a network then the solution is to simply unlock it. Doing this will allow you to purchase a prepaid card from any network so that Nokia 3595 won't go to waste.
Instructions
1. Dial *#06# into the keypad on your Nokia 3595. This will bring up the IMEI (international mobile equipment identification) code for your phone. Write down the code and save it for later.
2. Go to a mobile phone unlock website. There are several that will sell you codes for the Nokia 3595. Some that you might consider are GSMLiberty, TheTravelInsider, and GlobalUnlock (see resources).
These sites will provide you with unlock codes along with instructions on use them for a fee of $12.95-$29.95 as of 2010.
3. Enter the IMEI in the first box of the site that you've chosen to buy the codes from. Choose Nokia for "Make" of the phone and 3595 for the "Model" in the drop down boxes. Then select your country and your mobile service provider and click "Enter." This will bring you to the payment page.
4. Put in your credit card or paypal details and a valid e-mail address where the codes can be sent. Click "Buy" and wait for 1 to 2 days.
5. Open up your e-mail and get your codes and instructions.
6. Turn your Nokia 3595 off and take the battery out. Slide the SIM (subscriber identification module) out of its slot and replace it with one from a different network. Put the battery back in and turn the phone on. When it comes back on you will get a message that you have the wrong network card and your phone will ask you for an unlock code.
