How Install Nokia Bluetooth

Connecting a Bluetooth device to a Nokia phone is simple.

Nokia makes a variety of Bluetooth-capable cell phones as well as several Bluetooth headsets. Once paired together, a Bluetooth headset can allow the user to make and receive calls hands-free on her mobile phone. Installing a Nokia headset onto a phone or connecting a Bluetooth headset to your Nokia phone can be done in only a few minutes.

Instructions

1. Power on your headset or other Bluetooth-capable device and place it near your mobile phone. In the case of headsets, you will often have to put them in pairing mode. The pairing mode on a headset can be activated by pressing and holding down the power button on the headset for 8 seconds. Once you release the power button, the light on the back of the headset will remain on, indicating it is in pairing mode.

2. Press the "Menu" button on your Nokia mobile phone and select "Settings" from the available options.

3. From the settings menu, select "Bluetooth" from the options available and then "Find a New Device."

4. Select the device you would like to connect to your Nokia mobile phone from the list of devices that appear. Your phone will list all of the Bluetooth-capable devices currently available around it.

5. Enter the passkey for your headset or device into your mobile phone. The passkey is a series of numbers that will either be printed on a sticker on the back of the device or on its instruction book. The default passkey for many headsets is 0000.

6. Start using your device with your mobile phone. The two will now be permanently paired, with no need to repeat the installation process.
