Override A At&T Cu515'S Sim Lock

The CU515 is a cell phone manufactured by LG. AT&T branded the phones because they are locked to the AT&T network. You cannot use a SIM card issued by another GSM wireless network provider in an AT&T branded CU515 phone unless the phone's SIM lock is released. To release the SIM lock you must obtain the SIM unlock code unique to your phone. Entering this code in the phone will override the lock.

Instructions

Preparation

1. Turn on the phone. Dial *#06#. The phone's unique IMEI number will appear on the display. Record this number.

2. Press and hold the "End" key to turn off the phone. Firmly press down and push back on the phone battery cover to release it from its lock. Lift off the battery cover. Pull out the battery.

3. Slide out the AT&T SIM card currently installed in the phone. The SIM card slot is located inside the battery compartment. If you have a SIM card issued from an alternate network provider, insert it. Otherwise, leave the SIM card slot empty.

4. Reinsert the phone's battery. Replace the battery cover.
