Listen To The Radio With A Nokia Cell Phone

Mobile devices do more than place and receive calls. Many handsets are slowly eliminating the need for MP3 music players. Nokia began manufacturing handsets with built-in frequency modulation radio reception. The N8 is the latest Nokia cell phone. The handset features a built-in transmitter that plays music in vehicles without the use of wires or cables. For handsets with built-in radio, open the appropriate application. Nokia stresses users should listen to cell phone radio at a moderate level to avoid hearing loss.

Instructions

1. Attach a compatible headset. Insert the plug into the appropriate jack. Without the headset, no sounds are heard unless the loud speaker is activated. Look in the owner's manual or refer to the Nokia website if unclear about compatible headset devices.

2. Press "Menu," "Music" and "Radio" to broadcast local FM radio stations. Sound quality depends on the strength of the station signal, not cellular reception.

3. Press down and hold "Fast Forward" or "Rewind" to automatically scroll through stations. Select "Options" and "Manual Tuning" to manually review radio stations. Use the volume keys to adjust volume levels. Select "Options" and "Activate Loudspeaker" to listen to music on the handset speakers.
