Copy And Paste On Your Motorola Droid

Copy and paste text on your Motorola Droid.

One of the many innovative features of the Motorola Droid is the ability to copy and paste text from one application to another. Just as you would use these features on a PC, copy and paste can be used on the Droid phone to make utilizing your text applications more convenient.

Instructions

1. Turn on the Motorola Droid and identify some text within an app that you wish to copy. This text could be text from a page on the Internet or perhaps a line in an email. You can copy and paste text in just about every app that has text, including text messages.

2. Press and hold your finger near the text that you wish to copy. After holding for 2 seconds, a menu will appear. One of the options is to "Select Text." Select this option to begin highlighting text to copy.

3. Drag your finger over the text that you would like to copy (this highlights it).

4. Press and hold your finger again on the highlighted text. After a couple of seconds a menu will pop up again. This time select "Copy" or "Cut," depending on whether you want to remove the text after copying.

5. Go to wherever you would like to paste the text. This could be an email, search field on the Internet or any other text input area. Press and hold your finger on the text entry area until the menu pops up. When it does, select "Paste" to paste the copied text into the field.
