Reset The Canon Pixma Ip1000

Reset the Canon Pixma IP1000


The Canon PIXMA ip1000 is a popular desktop computer printer that produces photo quality images. It is capable of both color and black and white printing. In some cases a software glitch or issue may arise with the printer. In this event, it is often wise to reset the printer to remedy the problem. Thankfully for users, the reset is very simple to accomplish.


Instructions


1. Press the "Power" button on the top surface of the Canon PIXMA ip1000 to ensure that the printer is off.


2. Turn the printer so that you can see the back panel and carefully disconnect the power cable from the Canon PIXMA ip1000.


3. Pull out the USB connection cable from the USB port on the left back panel of the printer.


4. Remove the printer's power cable from the electrical outlet and the USB cable from your computer.


5. Wait at least three minutes, then plug the power cable into a grounded electrical outlet and the back of the Canon PIXMA ip1000.


6. Press the "Power" button on the top of the printer to turn it back on. Once the printer is on, you can reconnect the USB cable to the printer and computer. The Canon ip1000 is now fully reset.
