Apple's immensely popular iPhone runs on SIM card technology. A Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card is a removable item that helps mobile phones identify subscribers and users. The portable nature of SIM cards allows phone users to easily transfer their information from one phone to another. For frequent travelers, you could travel abroad with the iPhone and simply switch to a SIM card of a local provider in order to save costs on calls. Here is a step-by-step guide on quickly remove your SIM card from an iPhone.

Instructions

1. Locate the SIM card holder on your iPhone. It is on the top of the phone between the headset input jack and the power button. You should see a thin rounded rectangle with a small hole on one end.

2. Insert one end of the unbent paper clip into the small hole. Firmly push the paper clip all the way in until you feel a small amount of resistance. The SIM card holder should slightly pop out from the phone.

3. Gently pull the SIM card holder out using the paper clip. The tip of the paper clip that is inside of the hole should help you pull out the holder.

4. Remove the SIM card by flipping the holder over.
