Bluetooth technology is used to transfer files wirelessly, and use equipment without using cords. One of the main things Bluetooth is used for, is to make cell phones and telephones handsfree. This enables you to use your hands for tasks, such as typing or writing, and with deskphones in particular. Bluetooth enables you to answer calls from cellular phones directly on your deskphone.
Instructions
1. Press the button with the Bluetooth emblem on it; this button is located on the base of the desk phone. You may have to hold this button down for a few seconds until the Bluetooth button lights up.
2. Turn on your cell phone. Enter the main menu and navigate to "connections" or "extras"; from here, select the Bluetooth option. Turn the Bluetooth on or select the enable option.
3. Click "Search for devices" from your handset and locate the name of the desk phone, then select "connect." At this point, you will be prompted to enter a passkey. The defaulted passkey is 0000.
4. Make sure the Bluetooth symbol is displayed on the desk phone's screen. When the symbol is displayed, it means the two devices have been paired successfully.
5. Answer calls as normal from the desk phone. If you get any calls from your cell phone while you are in a landline call, press the mobile phone or cellular button to answer this call. This function will automatically put the other call on hold until you disconnect from the cell phone call. To disconnect, you only need to click the off button.
6. Make phone calls from your desk phone to be charged to your mobile phone, by pressing the cellular button after dialing the number.
7. To un-pair the devices, press the Bluetooth button on the desk phone until the emblem is no longer displayed, then disconnect the Bluetooth from the cell phone by going into your Bluetooth options and selecting disable.
8. If you're not using your Bluetooth Devices, but you need to stay on them for a while, put your cell phone into invisible mode. This keeps nearby Bluetooth users from getting into your handset.
