Use Desktop Manager For Tethering Verizon

Connect the BlackBerry's USB cable to any available port on your computer.


When you use Verizon's version of Desktop Manager for BlackBerry to tether, you can establish an Internet connection practically anywhere. The connection is available from within the Verizon network. Desktop Manager gives you the option to tether your phone without the need to enter any settings or set up a network on your computer. The equipment needed to establish a connection between your phone and computer is included with your BlackBerry phone.


Instructions


1. Connect your Verizon BlackBerry to the computer with a USB cable. Launch Desktop Manager.


2. Click "Tools" in the top menu of Desktop Manager, then click "Mobile Internet Settings."


3. Click the "Profile" drop-down list and select "Verizon." Click "OK" to save your settings.


4. Click "Tools," then click "Start Mobile Internet."


5. Click "Connect" and the Verizon BlackBerry establishes an Internet connection using your smartphone data services.
