Motorola Tracfone Tips & Tricks

Sometimes you have to be able to quickly set your phone to vibrate.

Buying a Motorola cellphone from TracFone Wireless is a good option for anyone who doesn't want to be locked into a lengthy cellphone contract. The Motorola phones that TracFone offers are both inexpensive and easy-to-use. Once you get comfortable with the basic functions of a Motorola cellphone, there are a few shortcuts to learn that will help free up your time otherwise spent searching through your phone.

Types

The types of Motorola phones that TracFone offers as of May 2011 include the W260g, W175g, W376g, W370, C261, V176, C139 and V170.

Change Ring Style

In order to quickly change the ring style on your Motorola TracFone from ring to vibrate, simply press the "#" key. Pressing the "#" key a second time will switch your phone back from vibrate to ringing out loud. This shortcut comes in handy in quiet areas such as a library or movie theater, where it is not acceptable to have your phone set to ringing mode.

Quick Dial

To quickly redial a phone number you have recently called, hit the "Send" button and then scroll to the number you wish to redial. Pressing the "Send" key at any time will show you a list of phone numbers you have recently called or that have called your phone.

Speed Dial

A shortcut for using your speed dial function is to press the number key that corresponds with the number you wish to dial. For example, if you have a certain phone number set as number five on your speed dial, simply press "5" on your phone to dial it. You must have phone numbers already programmed into your speed dial in order to use this shortcut.
