Password Protect A Folder On A Nokia N95

A secure password is a first line of defense for your data.

There was a time when locking a cell phone was only important to prevent accidental dialing while in your pocket. With the advent of smart phones, such as the Nokia N95, your portable devices can now house some potentially sensitive data, including personal contacts, emails and private documents. The best way to protect the data folders on your Nokia N95 is to lock the device with a secure password.

Instructions

1. Press the button to the left of the directional arrows on the keypad.

2. Click "Tools" and select "Settings." Click "General." Select "Security" and click "Phone and SIM." Click "Lock Code."

3. Type "12345," the default lock code for the Nokia N95, and click "OK."

4. Enter a new five-digit lock code of your own and click "OK." Enter the number again to verify and press "OK."

5. Select "Phone Autolock Period" and select "User Defined." Use the number keys to input the number of minutes your phone should wait before automatically locking itself. Click "OK." Your data folders will now be protected by your personal lock code.
