Reset Nokia N85

Nokia devices all share a similar reset process.

The Nokia N85, a slider phone, can be conveniently reset to its original factory default settings. If the phone develops technical errors, a reset may resolve these issues. If you want to give the phone to someone else, but want to delete your personal files first, a reset will clear this information from the phone. Resetting your Nokia N85 can be completed in just a couple of minutes.

Instructions

1. Plug your phone into the charger and ensure it stays in the charger while you are performing your reset. If the Nokia loses power while it is charging, the flash memory can stop functioning, making the device inoperable.

2. Type "*#7370#" using the phone's keypad. Press "*3" and the green button (call) simultaneously after turning on the mobile device as an alternative if the first code is unsuccessful.

3. Wait for the phone to reset. Do not touch any buttons on the cell phone while it is resetting. The Nokia will turn off automatically after it successfully resets. The amount of data you have on the device will determine how lengthy the reset process will be.
