Connect A Home Phone To A Bluetooth Headset

Connect your Bluetooth headset to your home phone

Bluetooth headsets enable you to use your home phone while keeping your hands free for other tasks. Prices have fallen so much that you can get a Bluetooth for a home phone for around $100.

Instructions

1. Charge your Bluetooth headset. Then turn it on by pressing the multi-function button, the button you'll use to answer the phone.

2. Set the Bluetooth headset to "Discoverable" by clicking on the function button.

3. Press "Menu" on your home phone's hand set. Use the arrow buttons to scroll down until you find "Bluetooth," then press the "Menu/Select " button.

4. Scroll down and click on "Add headset," then press "Menu/Select ."

5. Press "Menu/Select" on your telephone base to set it to "Discoverable" mode and then look for your headset on the screen. Press "Menu/Select" when you find it.

6. Enter the pin for your headset. The default setting is usually "0000." Consult your manual if this doesn't work. Press "Menu/Select."

7. Press "Menu/Select" when the handset displays the message "Headset A paired to base Connect now?"

Your Bluetooth headset and home phone are now paired.
