What Is Nero Software

Nero refers to a suite of software geared towards ripping, editing and burning DVDs, CDs and Blu-ray discs. It allows you to easily create and play back all types of media in all formats. Nero has created solutions for Linux users, mobile users and home networks.


Nero 9


Nero 9 is the latest release of the flagship application. It allows you to create a copy of a DVD, CD or Blu-ray disc and manipulate it online, then create a playback disc with the newly formatted file. The software also allows codec conversion, so files can be made to work on mobile devices as well as PCs.


Nero Move It


Nero Move It allows you to easily convert music, data and video files to mobile codecs and upload the new files onto portable devices. Supported codecs include iPod, PSP, Blackberry, and many more. This software application also facilitates online uploading to the Internet.


Nero Liquid TV


Nero Liquid TV/TiVo PC allows you to record and watch television on a PC or TV, just like a DVR. There is also an export function, which allows you to convert recorded shows to mobile codecs to take with you on the go. Shows can also be burned to DVD.


Nero Linux 4


Nero has created a version of its popular Nero 9 software that works on PCs utilizing the Linux OS. There are applications to assist beginning Linux users as well as more advanced users in ripping, creating, editing and playing back all types of media.


Nero MediaHome 4


Nero MediaHome4 is the software solution for streaming media throughout your home on any PC connected to your home network. This application allows movies, music or photos saved on one computer to be viewed on another, wirelessly and easily.
