Enable Bluetooth On A Phone

Bluetooth on cell phones allows you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly, as well as sync and add files to a phone wirelessly from the computer. The first step you must take before you set up Bluetooth between a phone and a device is to turn on Bluetooth. The specifics, of course, vary between each phone, but any Bluetooth-capable phone has its own Bluetooth section where you can choose to enable it.

Instructions

1. Press "Options" or "Settings" on your phone.

2. Select "Bluetooth" from the list of options or settings. On some phones you may not see Bluetooth on the main list, so you may have to look under a "General," "Advanced" or "Connections" option after you are in the "Settings" menu.

3. Choose Bluetooth "Power" or "Setup" and select to turn Bluetooth "On." On some phones you can choose to turn on Bluetooth as soon as you enter the Bluetooth settings. Your phone will be discoverable by other Bluetooth devices and will track in-range devices after you turn it on.
