Connect N95 To A Pc

You can connect your Nokia N95 with your computer to edit, synchronize or create a backup of the cell phone data, including music files, pictures and contacts. You can even install various software programs, including Java-based applications, on the phone from your computer. For connecting the phone to the computer, you need to install Nokia PC suite. Before installing the application, make sure your computer has at least 300 MB of free space on the disk.

Instructions

1. Turn on your PC.

2. Plug the USB cable that came with your Nokia N95 into the USB port of your computer. Connect its other end to your phone.

3. Take out the CD from the phone's package and insert it in the optical drive of your computer. Install Nokia PC suite from this CD. If you have lost the CD, you can download and install the software from Nokia's website (see the Resources section for a link).

4. Click on the Nokia PC suite icon on your desktop. Your cell phone will now recognize that it is plugged into a computer with Nokia PC suite software installed. A window will pop up on the computer screen, giving you several options, such as backup contacts, make notes, manage calendar items and save messages. You can also install applications directly to your phone through this mode. For transferring files from your phone to PC and vice versa, choose the option "Data Transfer."
